Team Link Takes First at the 2018 IBJJF Boston Open!

We did it! After months of hard work and preparation from our entire team, Team Link has captured first place at the 2018 IBJJF Boston Summer Open! The IBJJF is the most prestigious tournament in the world, and Team Link was the overall team champion! This could not be possible without everyone as a whole. We had a total of 84 competitors with 20 Gold medals, 27 Silver medals, and 28 Bronze medals. I could not be more proud of all of you. This was a special day that we will never forget.

After a well earned victory Coach Marco Alvan had a few words to share with the team - "Everyone worked so hard to make this title happen, we did it in 2015 and now we did it again! This tournament was a definition of what Team Link is made of! We came together and we fought hard! We all stayed until the very end supporting each other. We had 84 competitors; 20 Gold, 27 Silver, and 28 Bronze! Over 200 Team Link people between students, family, and friends there! Amazing! I am proud to be a part of Team Link! Thank you all! I am so so proud!"

The support and love we show each other can be felt every time you step on the mats and is one of the many things that makes our team so special. Let's keep this momentum! See you all back on the mats!!
